I just wanted to drop a quick not and thank EVERYONE that came out to my Haiti Benefit opening on the 13th. We sold a few prints, as well as accepted cash donations. Everything has been tallied and a check for $300 will go out to the Partners in Health Organization pronto!

Also, due to the increasing need for crisis- aid in Haiti, I have decided to donate 50% of all profits from prints sold on Feb. 13th to Partners in Health’s Stand With Haiti campaign. In researching various charities that are currently active in Haiti, I decided PIH was doing some great work. They also have one of the best ratings of any charity on Charity Navigator, spending nearly 95% of their total revenue on relief programs. I’ll be hanging it all up this Saturday and the shop is throwing me a reception a week later on Nov. 14th. The reception goes from 7-10pm , we’ll have food, wine, coffee, and live music from the beautiful and talented Rae Hering!

I recently did a portrait session for my wonderful grandmother, Evelyn (we call her Nanny). Nanny is one of the strongest most beautiful women I’ve known in my lifetime, and a great deal of who I am today has come from her. She continues, almost daily, to amaze and inspire me with the way she handles life’s hardships.

It’s been over a year since I did the first day of shooting for a project I’ve kept mostly secret. It’s working name is Operation: Clown. It’s been pretty insane preparing for the next day, there have been many failed attempts in this past year to make this happen, so let’s all keep our fingers crossed.
