UPDATED: I may have jumped the gun
As you’ll see in the comment below, I just might have been a little too hasty in pointing this story out to everyone. My normal skeptic mind has failed me on this one and I apologize. I have left my original post below unedited so everyone can see my folly. You can read my reason for posting this update here:

And read the original post below. I might be wrong, the guy that commented might be wrong, and Jon Engle might be wrong. Either way we’re looking at a very ingenious use of social media on Jon’s part…he successfully rallied a large community of people behind one cause. Whether that cause is true or not, it’s something I’ve never been able to do.
Original Post:
“Just came across this story about a designer being sued for copyright infringement of his own work. We need to rally behind this guy and get the word out. These con men that are suing him are absolutely ruining his reputation, and as he said in his blog, this could happen to any artist.
If you’re on Twitter tweet about it using the #savejon hashtag, talk about it on Facebook, MySpace. If you have a blog do a quick post…I shudder to think how many cases exactly the same as this one go undocumented.
Blood = Boiling”
Thanks to Tim for taking the time to attempt to research the other side.
I’m think Jon is wishing this did go undocumented:

thanks for that, I’ve done an update to the post.
