Major party foul Fink…seriously, totally not cool. Makes me sick to see the him being so blatant and brazen about it…flaunting like he wouldn’t get caught.
This isn’t a great example of what NOT to do because of the theft…it’s a great example of a type of person that sells their photo service cheap, and why you don’t want to be lumped into that category. Photos are priced the way they are for a reason. Reasons that any photographer that has any idea what he’s actually doing could easily articulate for you. Art Buyers and Creative Directors beware of the photographer that can’t explain their cost to you. And photographers, if you don’t know or haven’t thought about it…get with the program, do some research or just ASK: comment section is below, or you can email me. Costs and invoicing and all that are a constant point of conversation in the photo community, and new ideas are constantly evolving and changing the process. The ASMP site can be a great resource for info on all things photo business, and also PLUS.
I know that nobody reading this is going to steal someone else’s work, but you can always avoid business practices that will degrade yourself and the industry as a whole.
This story was brought to my attention by David Bean…Gotta love twitter!

About 8-10 years ago, i had someone lift my entire website and post it as their own. All they did was put their photo’s in and changed their name to mine. They even changed my copyright notice, but left all of the copy the same. Amazing what some people will do.
Wow man, you’re kidding?? It’s wild how people can do something like that. Did you take any recourse?
