Last Thursday and Friday me and Trista took a trip to Skowhegan where my mother is doing an 8-week nursing assignment.  Having heard that early Oct. is mating season for Moose, it made it quite easy when deciding what we were going to do with our 2 days in Maine…MOOSE HUNT!  

I’m not really one to go and kill things, but hunting with a camera is perfectly alright.  Between me, Trista, and Mama, none of us had ever seen a moose.  We are all proud to announce that’s no longer the case!  We came across 2 on the first day, and a big bull on the second day, see the photos below.  I’m not a wildlife photographer, so I wasn’t carrying around some massive 800mm lens.  I think my 70-200 did just fine.  

I might throw up some shots of some other spots we came to along the way later this week, and Trista shot some video on the trip, if it’s not too shaky from the rocky trail roads we were on, I’ll post it in a few days for you guys to see.
